E27 Base 240V
E27 LED spotlights replace the old incandescent halogen spotlights directly and without a problem. In fact, you simply remove the old E27 bulb and then replace it with the new E27 LED spotlights in exactly the same way that you would with an old halogen bulb. There is no need to change anything, make any adoptions or worry about needing different electrical supplies or fittings. It really is as simple as changing a bulb like you normally would.
The E27 LED spotlights are also designed to not only fit directly into your existing light fittings but they also benefit from similar dimensions and shape as well. This means that they should easily still fit into any openings or awkward settings that your original light bulbs did. The only difference is on the inside where the LED spotlight will actually be made up of a number of little individual LED’s (Light Emitting Diodes) rather than just one burning filament. This is the technology that will save you significant money as we will discover later on in this article.
When looking for the E27 LED spotlight replacement for you, you need to look at the lumens level rather than the amount of watts. For example, a 50 watt halogen bulb will not require a 50 watt LED replacement. The main point in changing over to LED spotlights is that they use a lot less power and therefore you will find that you will be looking at much lower watts usage to get the same amount of light. Therefore, lumens are a very helpful indication as these indicate the actual amount of light that the bulb emits, regardless of the power input. So, for example, a 50 watt halogen bulb may be giving you around 390 lumens. Therefore, you can very easily find an E27 LED spotlight that will also give you 390 lumens of light. . This will mean that you can swap the bulbs over to the new E27 LED spotlights and not notice any difference in the amount of light in the room, it will seem as if you are still using the old halogen bulbs. However, the difference will be that the halogen bulb giving you 390 lumens will be using up 50 watts of power but the new E27 LED spotlights will also be giving you 390 lumens but will only be using 5 watts of power.
